The demand response service is a “curb-to-curb” service provided on a “call in” basis.
This means that a client can call Public Transit Services to arrange for a pick up [NOTE: Advance notice is required; as space during peak hours is limited].
Once the call is received; and the time and place has been established; a driver will be dispatched to the locations of the client. The client will then be transported to their selected destination and may call; at their convenience; for a returned trip. However, “Return Trip” scheduling is strongly suggested as service demand fills up quickly.

- Beauty Shop
- Home of a Friend
- Medical
- Pharmacy
- School
- Work

Personal Care Attendant/Assistant (PCA) – It is the goal of Public Transit Services to ensure that our customers remain safe when boarding and disembarking the vehicle.
In some cases; the passenger may need an assistant to help them load and unload; most especially after they exit the transit vehicle. Public Transit Services drivers will assist a client but may not enter a client’s home, buildings or facilities. The drivers are responsible for safely loading, securing and unloading of passengers and shall provide courteous service to all. Public Transit Services will allow passengers with special needs to take along a personal care attendant/assistant; at no additional charge, so long as the assistant is providing a valuable service to the passenger. If you need assistance that is above and beyond what the drivers are authorized to perform, you must make arrangements for a companion (or PCA) to accompany and assist you at no charge to the PCA.

Ride Share: Public Transit Services provides general public transportation services to individuals with a need to travel. Service is provided on a first call first serve basis. Please be mindful that our agency provides service to all so each client will be subject to “ride sharing”. This means that the driver will pick up and drop off other clients along the way; as applicable.
